CAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Here's what the official notification states:
- The Candidates must have a bachelor's (or equivalent) degree with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD categories).
- The Candidates also apply provisionally if they are in the final year of your programme (graduating in 2025).
- If Candidates have a professional qualification degree, such as CA/CS/ICWA, it would also be valid as long as they meet the minimum marks requirement.
- There is no upper limit on age for CAT 2025.
CAT 2025 Application Fees
As mentioned in the official notification:
- ₹2,600 for General/EWS/OBC candidates.
₹1,300 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
CAT 2025 Step-by-Step Registration Process
Step 1 – Go to the official CAT site at iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2 – Then click on where it says "New Registration". You'll then need basic details (name, DOB, email, mobile number) and get the OTP verification.
Step 3 – Then, log in and fill out the application with:
- Personal and academic details.
- Work Experience (if applicable).
- Preferred IIMs/programmes and test city choices (up to 5 campuses).
Step 4 – Lastly, upload scanned documents:
- Recent passport-style photograph.
- Signature.
- Category certificate (if applicable).
- PwD certificate (if applicable).
- Graduation certificate or provisional degree.
Step 6 - Finish application submission and Download a copy of your application for your reference.
CAT 2025 Exam Pattern
CAT 2025 is a computer-based test (CBT) with three sections, each section timed separately. Total duration is 2 hours. Marking Scheme of CAT 2025 is +3 for correct and -1 for incorrect (for MCQs only).
